Annotation

The project aims to contribute to the conceptual identification of value (ethical, spiritual) paradigms that are explicitly or implicitly present in a representative intercultural sample of contemporary mythopoetic narratives, grounded in its comparison with classical mythopoetic creation (original myths, legends, fables, folk tales) from various cultural areas. The researchers aspire to support the research of the mentioned paradigms with a creative application of theory, drawing from selected philosophical, ethical or theological concepts in combination with the findings of contemporary narratology and archetypal criticism. The project will take into account not only the immanent (intratextual) functions of the respective axiological configurations (for example, their narrative impact), but also their pragmatic-receptive impact.
