Tolkien Reading Day 2024
25 March is an international Tolkien Reading Day.
On that occasion, we organize two events.
The first one is an academic colloquium on the topic of Emotions in Middle-earth, which will take place on 22 March (Friday) at 13:00 CET. You can join this event in person in Nitra, Štefánikova trieda 67, room 115, or online via Zoom:

You will hear 5 talks from aspiring researchers from our university as well as the USA and Italy. This event will be entirely in English.
The second event is intended rather for the general public and will take place at Panta Rhei bookshop in the Nitra shopping mall Mlyny on 27 March (Wednesday) at 17:30.
We will read and share our favourite excerpts from Tolkien’s books that either depict emotions or invoke strong emotions in us as readers. Afterwards, there will also be a quiz. This event will be entirely in English.
